A Splash of Pink

mq_sheinsweater7mq_sheinsweater2mq_sheinsweater3mq_sheinsweater6Sweater: SheIn – Pants: Topshop – Shoes (old): Steve Madden – Choker (sold out): Nordstrom B.P.

Oh the things bloggers will do to get “that shot” right?! Lol. I was always on the look out for cars haha. Any way, can we just talk about that color block sweater from SheIn?! I am obsessed! I’m all about my black and white but I just love the added pink stripes on the sides. You know what else I love? …It’s only $20!

I paired them with my TopShop black jeans. If you don’t have any black skinny jeans with the knee slits, get them now! Honestly, they’re such a closet staple and I find myself wearing them all the time. Best part is that you can dress it up or down. Gotta love versatile pieces!

Happy FriYAY everyone!

Taking Family Pictures with 2 Under 2

That picture above  is the best out of like a hundred that we took during our impromptu photo shoot we had the other day. We literally drove by this location on the way to the pumpkin patch and thank goodness, we had my little brother-in-law (who takes a lot of my blog photos btw) with us. That pic was the only one where both kids look somewhat ready for the picture. It’s also within seconds of Scarlett yelling to go down so she can run around like the crazy toddler that she is. Here are a few personal tips I came up with for taking family pictures with littles:

One: Don’t have any expectations. There are so many shots that I want to do but let’s be real with 2 kids under 2, that’s most likely not going to happen. LOL.

Two: As much as possible, make sure all the adults are ready and smiling so that once the kids look at the camera at the same time for a split second then you could get “that shot.”

Three: Have whoever is taking your pictures (in my case, my 10 year old brother-in-law) just click click click away! You are bound to get one shot (out of a million) that you will like 🙂 So make sure you have a memory card that can hold a ton of pictures.

Four: If possible, have another person come that isn’t taking the pictures to get your kids’ attention and try to make them smile/laugh. Since this shoot was random, we didn’t have any one to do that so it was a bit challenging… ok not gonna lie, very challenging. Haha.

Five: Have fun!! As crazy as family photo shoots can get and as stressful as they can be sometimes to get that “one picture,” just remember that you have adorable kids that will make any picture memorable! Some times the candid ones are the best pictures any way.

Here are some behind the scenes pictures:

Pumpkin Patch Outfit

If there is one thing I love during the Fall Season… it’s oversized flannels. They are so versatile cause you can wear them with just about anything. You can make any outfit have that “comfy” look. I particularly love this mustard yellow flannel from Romwe. It’s only $11.99… awesome! The material is thin which is perfect for San Diego living! Lol.

I wore this outfit to the pumpkin patch. It was ideal for the weather since it was on the colder side for San Diego BUT 5 minutes into chasing Scarlett around, I was slowly turning into a hot mess. Piece of advice for the mamas with a crazy toddler: trampoline park > pumpkin patch! Lol. Regardless, it was worth it since I got the cutest photo of Landon:

The Perfect Dress To Go From Day to Night

tobi1mq_tobi2mq_tobi3mq_tobi4mq_tobi5mq_tobi6Dress: Tobi – Shoes: Just Fab – Choker: Vanessa Mooney

Whenever my hair is in a ponytail, I always end up playing with it and swinging it around haha. I know I’m not the only one?! Any way, I just love this shift dress from Tobi! It’s a classic black and white piece that you can dress up or down. I don’t recommend it if you have babies that you need to carry AND in my case, a crazy toddler named Scarlett to chase around… one word: wrinkles!! This dress is perf for those days when you have day plans and can wear it down like I did above and at night when you are going to a nice dinner… dress it up with heels and more accessories 🙂

If you’ve never purchased anything from Tobi before, your first order is 50%… such a steal! While you’re there, you might as well stock up on Fall clothing for all half off!

P.S. Don’t I low key look like a referee?! Lol

Ipsy “October 2016 Glam Bag” Review

mq_ipsyoct2What’s in the October 2016 “Black Magic” Glam Bag?

  1. Kokie Cosmetics Nail Polish in Heavenly

  5. noyah Natural Lipstick in Currant

mq_ipsyoct1Kokie Cosmetics Nail Polish in Heavenly

Ah I always get excited when I see that I got nail polish in my glam bag… especially if it’s a full size bottle! I love this pastel color. The formula was think, creamy and super opaque!

mq_ipsyoct5INDI BEAUTY Buttercream Antioxidant Lip Scrub

Ooh I love lip scrubs! This one left my lips feeling silky smooth. I used it right before bed and woke up with super soft lips! Oh and guess what?! This Lip Scrub also serves as a lipstick remover. So awesome!

mq_ipsyoct3theBalm Cosmetics CabanaBoy Blush

I am such a fan of this brand! I first fell in love with their liquid lipsticks… so much that I bought the full size version in 2 different colors! I was excited to see that I got their blush since I needed blush (score) and because I knew this brand wouldn’t disappoint. This is the perfect pink of my skin tone… yay!

mq_ipsyoct6NYX Vivid Brights Liner in Vivid Gunmetal

Ok, I do love NYX but this glittery silver liner is just not for me! The last time I wore glitter liner was in high school during a dance performance haha. For of those of you that are looking for a glitter liner, this one seems awesome! …Just not my style.

mq_ipsyoct4noyah Natural Lipstick in Currant

FYI, this is a VERY tiny sample but I’m not complaining! It goes on so smoothly and doesn’t dry out my lips which is a major plus when it comes to lipsticks… especially dark colors. This color is so similar to MAC Cosmetics lipstick in “Rebel.” I’m so glad I got this color since it’s so Fall 🙂

Overall, I am SO happy with this month’s bag. I like and will continue to use 4 out 5 products! If I had to choose a favorite, it would be the nail polish… duh! If you’re still on the fence about trying Ipsy out, let me convince you. It’s SO worth the $10 a month! Check it out here!

These Boots Were Made For Walkin’

mq_astr4mq_astr2mq_astr5mq_astr1mq_astr6Dress: ASTR – Shoes: Target – Choker: Vanessa Mooney

If there’s one color I love after black, it’s cognac! It’s another one of those colors that can go with everything else. I’m obsessed with these booties from Target not only because they’re super stylish and perfect for the Fall season but also because they’re only $38! For booties… say whaaat?! Target definitely does it again. I just had to snag a pair when I walked by the shoe section on my way to get diapers… oops. Don’t tell my hubby! Lol.

That dress is from Nordy’s which I absolutely love. You can never have enough LBD’s (little black dress), especially ones like these that have some added detail. Great news is that it’s on SALE right now for the same price as the Target boots… $38! Um… You’re welcome!! Check out the links below 🙂 Have a wonderful week everyone!

P.S. I am still obsessed with that Vanessa Mooney choker that I’ve worn in like every outfit post LOL.
