Any way, I can’t believe Leo and I will be married for 5 years this coming November! And because that anniversary post will most likely be about our relationship… I thought why not share 10 random fun facts about our wedding! Here you go…

  1. I had an ugly cry/low-key panic attack before our wedding rehearsal the night before the wedding because I was so stressed! We had to push the rehearsal a whole hour back and Leo had to text everyone to let them know NOT to contact the bridezilla and to contact him instead.
  2. We had almost 400 guests expected to be at our wedding (Filipino families).
  3. Our dogs walked down the aisle BUT I forgot their outfits at home! I was so bummed but I’m just glad they got to be a part of our big day.
  4. We had 26 people in our wedding party. Nope, not a typo, you read that right… 26! Leo had 13 groomsmen and I had 13 bridesmaid. Out of that, I had 3 maids of honor and he had 3 best men. Yeah… we’re extra lol.
  5. We decided we wanted to say our own vows. My vows: 5 minutes. Leo’s: 20 minutes. Lol. If you know us personally, I am very straight to the point and Leo is quite the story teller. His vows were the sweetest though 🙂
  6. Our entire wedding party learned a dance the night before at the hotel for our flash mob entrance to “Get Outta Your Mind” Haha.
  7. We had life size cardboard cutouts of us in our wedding outfits made for our guests to take pictures with.
  8. I forgot our cake topper at home! Before Leo and I made our grand entrance as husband and wife, my aunt runs out asking where the cake topper was so she can put it on the cake. I freaked out and realized I left it at home. I was bummed for about a minute especially because I searched high and wide for the perfect cake topper on Etsy haha. I’m over it now… kinda. 😛
  9. The First Dance was meaningful BUT also awkward because everyone was just watching us and we just kept talking about how awkward it was and giggling because we didn’t know what to do. We initially planned on a Samba routine but sadly we couldn’t get to it 😦
  10. We ate at In-N-Out after our wedding with some of our wedding party …in our wedding attire! Lol. Good times.

TIPS for the bride-to-be’s: You can never be too prepared! Save yourself what I went through (#1 on the list lol) and plan as far in advance as possible and triple check (better year, quadruple check) everything. Be open to having at least ONE thing go wrong. And lastly, don’t forget the whole reason for the event… it’s easy to get caught in the actual wedding itself but remember, it’s to celebrate the love you have with your significant other ❤

weddinginnout^ Here’s us at In-N-Out right after our wedding! I had to scroll down for like 5 minutes straight on my Sister-in-Law’s Instagram to find this gem haha.

Ipsy September 2017 Glam Bag Review

Ok so I LOVE the actual bag it came in this month! I haven’t loved an Ipsy make-up bag in awhile but this one is so me! My fave color combo is black and gold and I love classic, no design make-up bags so this is right up my alley. So chic!

What’s in the September 2017 “Like a Boss” glam bag?

  1. P.R.M.I.T. Beauty GELIusion in January
  2. Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Radiance Primer
  3. Eva NYC Zero Gravity Volume Powder
  4. NEOGEN Dermalogy White Truffle Serum in Oil Drop
  5. Ciate London Wonderwand Mascara in Black Magic

ipsysept2P.R.M.I.T. Beauty GELIusion in January

Getting nail polishes in my glam bags are the best, especially full size bottles. This color is the perfect deep burgundy for Fall… obsessed. The formula is super thick and creamy and one coat is completely opaque but I still used 2 coats. I think the name of the polish “Gelusion” is on point because it totally does give the illusion of a gel polish especially with my super shiny top coat! Oh and guess what? This brand is also cruelty-free and vegan… major plus!

ipsysept5Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Radiance Primer

Yay I love Smashbox! I actually used one of their primers before and loved it. This primer in particular adds a nice glow so it’s really pretty! It blended well with my powder foundation too and made it last longer.

ipsysept3Eva NYC Zero Gravity Volume Powder

I have a product like this already to volumize my hair but I was happy to get one from this brand since I’ve heard good things about their products. I thought it worked just as good as the one I currently have. A little goes a long way so I like to start with a little and add more as needed. My hair is pretty flat at the top so this helps add more volume there.

ipsysept4NEOGEN Dermalogy White Truffle Serum in Oil Drop

I’m not usually a fan of serums although I was excited to try this one out because I heard good reviews. A little of this goes a long way and with the small amount I put, my face definitely felt softer and more hydrated. Good product!

ipsysept6Ciate London Wonderwand Mascara in Black Magic

I’m loving this mascara! First of all, I love this brand’s nail polishes so I was excited to try out their mascara. I didn’t even know they made other products aside from nail polish so it was a pleasant surprise. The formula of this mascara was very black and it applied smoothly.

Overall I’d say it’s a pretty good bag this month! Loved the brands and the products 🙂 My favorite would have to be the nail polish though even though it’s a close call between that, the mascara and the volume powder. If you still haven’t tried Ipsy and want to for only $10/month… Click here! Btw, the nail polish alone is $11… just sayin’ 😉

Working Out Postpartum

threadtank1.jpgShirt: Threadtank (sponsored)

I’m almost 6 weeks postpartum and currently on Week 2 of a workout program called BBG (Bikini Body Guide)… it’s totally kicking my butt! Being a dancer pretty much my whole life and being a past fitness instructor and dance team coach, I have always pushed myself to my limit when it comes to working out. Modifying an exercise was never an option but let me just tell you, there is nothing more humbling than working out after you’ve had a baby. Trust me, I’ve been through it 3 times in 3 years. The first few weeks of getting back in the fitness groove is tough!

I’ve learned to not be so hard on myself because my body literally just grew a tiny human being for 9 months. I can’t just expect my body to pick up right where it was before I got pregnant. I was able to lose all of my pregnancy weight both times after giving birth to Scarlett & Landon and I plan to do the same this time around but patience is key, especially when breastfeeding.

BBG is awesome since I’m able to work out at home and whenever I’m able to squeeze in the time, whether it be in the morning or super late at night. Somehow the kids always find me while I’m working out and it makes it harder to focus. TBH, I try to find a million reasons to stop working out but I have to continue to tell myself to keep going even though I end up doing modifying my push-ups on my knees.

If you are a fellow postpartum mama, here are a few things to remember when you’re trying to get back into shape:

1) Modify the exercises that you just can’t do right now: Yes, you want to challenge yourselves but not too much, modify the exercise(s) when needed.
2) Listen to your body: Take breaks when you need them and drink that water to stay hydrated.
3) Push through: You will want to try to find excuses to stop but keep going even if you felt like you modified every single exercise. The fact that you are staying active is important

Some common things that run through my mind when I’m working out are “I can’t do this,” “this is too hard,” “what’s the point since I’m modifying everything,”…Just know that you gotta start somewhere and you’ll always feel better after the workout!

Well, the kids are actually about to nap so I gotta squeeze my workout in NOW! Happy Thursday! xo

Not Your Typical Swaddle

The Love to Dream Swaddle UP is definitely not your typical swaddle that you see every day so I was completely intrigued and couldn’t wait to try it with Liam! Scarlett hated to be swaddled, Landon LOVED it and Liam… not so much (I mean, at least the typical way with arms down and wrapped with a swaddle blanket). I couldn’t wait to see if this product really worked for a baby who didn’t like to be swaddled ever since we took him home from the hospital haha. Plus, I’ve only really used swaddles that you have to wrap so I was excited that this was just a “put the baby in and zip it up” type of thing because I truly sucked at swaddling lol.

Alright so about the Love to Dream Swaddle UP… first of all, the fabric is super soft and breathable which I love. I also like the fact that it’s a little stretchy so Liam can still move around a bit. I got the size Small which is for babies 0-3 months. This size fit Liam perfectly and he looked so comfortable in it.

OK soooo… I can honestly say he did sleep longer in this swaddle (like, I woke up feeling somewhat rested haha)! You know for a mom with a newborn that’s almost unheard of. It makes so much sense though, babies have their hands by their face in the womb and when they sleep, they always move their hands to their face and mouth to self soothe. The Love to Dream Swaddle UP is a total game changer! I wish I knew about it when Scarlett was a newborn because we probably would’ve been able to actually SLEEP! Haha.

What’s awesome too is that Love to Dream has swaddles specific for age groups. They even have sleep suits and sleep bags for toddlers that I may I have to get for Landon. Check them out! These swaddles would make the perfect gift for a mama-to-be as well 🙂 Oh and there’s also an organic version too!

P.S. If you have Amazon, you’re in luck! These swaddles are available on there. Click here!

Belly After Baby

So I’ve been wearing the Belly Bandit Post-Pregnancy Belly Wrap ever since I got it 2 weeks ago and I can’t believe how much my stomach has been shrinking already. Not only does it help keep everything in place, it actually helps with shrinking and firming the post-pregnancy belly! I love wearing it around the house while I chase after the kids and clean. I’m usually a Size XS but I got a Size Small since I obviously just had a baby a few weeks ago lol. With just 2 weeks, I’m already able to close it all the way and I can probably size down to an XS soon.

You’re probably wondering, how does it really work?! Lol. I did too. Here’s how:

  •  Helps shrink your belly, waist and hips
  •  Helps you lose inches faster
  •  Provides support while breast feeding
  •  Recommended by doctors
  •  Accelerates healing
  •  Supports back, legs and core muscles
  •  Helps expedite fluids through your system
  •  Provides comfort for C-section moms
  •  Latex free

I totally recommend this! They even have belly wraps for pregnant mamas! You gotta check Belly Bandit out 🙂

Dermalogica’s New PreCleanse Balm

I always love when Dermalogica sends me their products to try! I have been a fan of their products since I first found out about it years ago… they are definitely quality and worth every dollar (even though they are pricey).

This is their new PreCleanse Balm that comes with a double-sided cleansing mitt to provide mild exfoliation (love)! So before you wash your face with your cleanser, you put some of the PreCleanse Balm onto the cleansing mitt or directly on your hand, massage onto your skin in a circular motion, add water to emulsify, then rinse! Now your face is prepped for your regular facial cleanser.

You’re probably wondering “what’s the point of a PreCleanse,” right? Lol. Well here are the benefits of this product: removes excess oil, sunscreen, make-up and pollutants (San Diego has a ton), dissolves buildup, and smoothes, calms and nourishes the skin.

My face felt even cleaner than it usually does after adding this to my daily skincare routine! You should definitely try it. It comes in a travel size for $15 😉 I always love opting for the travel size if there’s a product I really want to try and I don’t want to break the bank. Haha.

Happy almost-Friday! xo
